Long Night – Liverpool Biennial 2012

Long Night returns on Friday 19 October, 4pm until late as part of Liverpool Biennial 

International Festival of Contemporary Art

Enjoy a captivating evening of visual arts and culture with late openings and special events across Liverpool Biennial exhibitions and beyond.

Highlights include: The Unexpected Guest at venues across the city; Sky Arts ignition: Doug Aitken – The Source at Tate Liverpool 

Bloomberg New Contemporaries

and City States at LJMU Copperas Hill Building and the John Moores Painting Prize 

at The Walker Art Gallery.

A preview of the interactive game Deadline 

sees Biennial venues infiltrated by ‘uninvited guests’ and there are special events at FACT 

the Bluecoat 

Victoria Gallery & Museum 

as well as venues such as: Arena Studios & Gallery 

The Lantern Theatre 

The Gallery Liverpool 

in the Baltic Triangle; Unit 8 on the Albert Dock; Static Gallery 

Red Wire Studios 

Curve Gallery 

and Unity Theatre

The Walker Art Gallery 

is also hosting three performances of Stargazing by the acclaimed Sense of Sound Choir

And the LJMU Copperas Hill Building is presenting for one night only The Macallan Master Class which introduces the Annie Leibovitz edition of the Masters of Photography series, representing the coming together of mastery in two great art forms, whisky-making and photography.
