‘In the Red 11’ holding their very first poetry and prose open mic evening @ The Pilgrim at 8pm on Tuesday 2nd October. All welcome!

The time has come!

We are very happy to announce our very first ‘ In the Red 11’ open mic night. We know you’ve been waiting very patiently and you’re just as excited as we are, so here is everything you need to know.

The evening will take place upstairs in The Pilgrim on Pilgrim St at 8pm on Tuesday 2nd October.

Everybody is welcome! We hold a strict no-prejudice policy, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a student or not, or what your political opinions are, or which football team you support, even ambivalence is welcome (although, whoever heard of a poet without an opinion?).

Entry is £2 and that’s the same for everyone. Remember, In the Red is non-for-profit. Every penny raised goes back into hosting these events and finally publishing a magazine of what could be your work in Spring 2013. £2 is a bargain price, and drinks at the Pilgrim are cheap too! See how much we care?

You can read poetry or prose, it’s entirely up to you, just sign up to read on the door.

We have lots of exciting things planned to make it a great first night, so we hope to see you all there fighting for the mic.

In the Red.
